Men's groups, authentic studies, S.W.A.T and much more. We have groups and ways for men to connect and serve.

Men’s Small Group Study

We have a men’s small group study that meets every Tuesday night from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Twin Rivers.

The small group study is to provide a setting where men can grow in their relationship with the Lord. Men come to be held accountable to other Christian men for the disciplines they need to be practicing. We have studies in discipleship using books, dvd series and Biblical exploration.

Spring Retreat

Each Spring, the men of Twin Rivers get away for a retreat – a weekend given to closely examine our Christian walk, to be still and listen to the voice of God, and to develop our friendships with our Christian brothers. The retreat usually runs from Friday night to Sunday noon and occurs in May.

S.W.A.T.

(Servants With A Task)

S.W.A.T. is a great opportunity for every man at Twin Rivers to become involved in something that is meaningful in a very concrete way. The main function of S.W.A.T. is to have men provide service to thosse in our church body who are in need. For example, a widow who needs to have yard debris cleaned up in her yard could be served by a group of men from S.W.A.T.

Not only do we desire to serve our widows, widowers, elderly and single mothers, but we would also like to serve those in our community who do not currently attend Twin Rivers. As our people refer their unsaved neighbors to S.W.A.T., this ministry can become a valid outreach ministry to our community. No special skills are needed to help out.

Special Events

We are not a country club but we do enjoy getting together as men and having fun. The discipline of friendship is one that often gets way from us in the business of being a husband, father, and worker. Therefore, one of the objectives of our events is to simply give men the opportunity to develop friendships from within our church body.

We also look for creative ways to bring our friends and form new relationships. These are an example of some past events:

Automobile/Motorcycle show

Ems Game

Golf Tournament

Annual Wild Game Feast

Fishing trips

Look to our Men’s Ministry Event board in the lobby for detailed information.

In addition to our larger gatherings on Sundays, we meet throughout the week in our Community Life Groups.

In addition to our larger gatherings on Sundays, we meet throughout the week in our Community Life Groups. These smaller and more intimate environments are an essential ingredient to our church family. These groups are small gatherings of people in homes, offices, coffee shops and other settings where people come together to pray, read and study the Scriptures, have great conversations, and look for opportunities to serve one another and their community.

What is a Community Life Group?

A small group of people who meet regularly in a home setting to read and study the Scripture, pray, have great conversation, and look for opportunities to serve one another and the community. Community Life Group meetings consist of the “5 Ws:”

Welcome- Building intentional relationships with each other by taking time to get to know each other on a personal level
Worship- Building intentional relationships with God by singing, reading from psalms or other worship activities
Word- God builds His relationship with us by revealing Himself as we study His Scriptures
Witness- Building intentional relationships with the lost by praying and reaching out to family and friends who do not know the Lord
Works- Building intentional relationships with others in our church and the community by occasionally conducting works of service

Why Community Life Groups at Twin Rivers?

- To reach the world with the Gospel of Christ
- To develop Biblical disciples of Jesus Christ through intentional relationships
- To build a church based on service to each other and to the community
- To raise up leaders

Why join a Community Life Group?

- A positive way to connect with others and develop relationships
- Experience continuous spiritual growth

Who can be in a Community Life Group?

Everyone!

How Do I Join a Community Life Group?

In today’s world many are missing the path that God has offered us. It is our goal as a Youth Ministry team to help youth connect relationally with the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 (NASB)

In today’s world many are missing the path that God has offered us. It is our goal as a Youth Ministry team to help youth connect relationally with the Lord Jesus Christ. We strive to lead the youth we work with too times of prayer (talking with God) and times of listening (reading God’s Word). Out of an authentic relationship with Christ, youth will be able to enjoy the life that God has for them.

When Do We Meet?

We meet twice a week at the church. Once during our LifeHour class starting at 10:30 am on Sundays and again on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm.

Where Do We Meet?

Life Hour:
We meet downstairs in the middle school and stream rooms. High school meets in the stream room.

Wednesday night Fusion Bible Study:
We meet in the Auditorium.

Want to serve?

We are praying the God will work in the hearts of some fun loving, yet spiritually mature adults who hope to strongly impact the lives of our students. Age is relatively unimportant, energy is good, love is imperative and can be defined in spending time with the kids as a regular matter of course, caring, listening and sharing your own life experiences.

Want more information?

If you have questions or want more information, please contact our Youth Pastor, Nick Wing.

The Place where kids grow and become Disciples of Christ in classes during Worship and LifeHour.

The Place where kids grow and become Disciples of Christ!

Experienced and quality workers staff our Nursery (under 2) during Worship and LifeHour.

Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K kids journey through the Old Testament and New Testament during a 4 year cycle with DiscipleLand. LifeHour classes explore the Bible with a “hands-on” curriculum.

Elementary Age Kids (Kindergarten – 5th grade) participate in Worship with their families and are dismissed to PowerHour where we learn God’s truth through interactive Bible lessons, music, and missions. We also offer Vacation Bible School Summer Sundays, Point-in-time Mission units, and Christmas & Spring Musicals.
LifeHour classes are divided by grades and explore the Bible and memorize God’s Word with DiscipleLand curriculum. Join us for this great adventure as we learn what it means to be disciples of Jesus!

We are also blessed to be able to offer a class for Special Needs Students during Worship Hour staffed by an experienced teacher.

During the summer, we host the TRBC Hoop Camp for 5 days and encourage kids to invite their friends as an outreach event.

AWANA is fun and provides an excellent way to encourage our kids to grow in their relationship with Christ and invite their friends to come along.

AWANA is a Boys and Girls Club that meets Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. from September through May. AWANA is fun and provides an excellent way to encourage our kids to grow in their relationship with Christ and invite their friends to come along. AWANA’s goal is to “Reach Boys and Girls For Christ”. Open to all children 3 years old through the 6th Grade.

Cubbies

The Awana club for preschoolers is built on two premises:

* Young children receive spiritual training.
* Home is the primary place for spiritual training.

Awana is fun with a purpose to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Sparks

The Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool club. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.

Sparks club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for churched and unchurched kids alike. Club meetings are divided into three segments:

* Bible teaching, worship, award presentations and the gospel message
* Small group interaction and completion of Bible-based lessons
* Age-appropriate games on the Awana game circle

Along the way, Sparky, the friendly firefly, encourages boys and girls to learn verses and complete assignments throughout the handbooks.

Truth & Training Clubs

The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today’s young people will become tomorrow’s church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow and today.
